Main research interests
Major investigations are devoted to study of Quorum Sensing (QS) regulation and its role in the control of cell processes, investigations of enterobacteria antibiotics microcins, analysis of the action of volatile organic compounds (VOCs).
1990 - 2006. Investigations of the ability of enterobacteria from various sources to synthesize microcins were performed, types of microcins were determined, it was shown that their synthesis is connected with plasmids. The work was carried out on the development and introduction in practice of probiotic Romakol preparation (obtained on the basis of the strain Escherichia coli, synthesizing microcin) for the prevention and treatment of intestinal diseases of farm animals. Microcins of B-type and genetic control of their synthesis were studied.
2003 - at recent time. Investigations of Quorum Sensing systems of regulation of Pseudomonas chlororaphis and Burkholderia cenocepacia. Obtaining the mutants of B. cenocepacia with changed synthesis of the signal molecules of QS regulation N-acyl-homoserine lactones.
2011 - at recent time. Study of the volatile organic compounds (VOC) synthesis by soil and rhizosphere bacteria Pseudomonas и Serratia.
