Main research interests

The research is related to effects of endogenous and synthetic melanocortin peptides on the magnitude of the stress and inflammatory responses. The research is also directed to study the effects of melanocortins on expression of neurotrophic factors in the rat brain in vivo and in primary and transformed brain cell cultures.
